Roger Lancelyn Greenin kirja "C.S.Lewis" (1963) oli ensimmäinen, jonka luin Narnia-kirjojen kirjoittajasta. Siitä on ilmestynyt uudistettu painos, joka ilmestyi myös suomeksi. Toisena kirjoittajana on Lewisin sihteerinä toiminut Walter Hooper. Kirja on saanut ylistävät arvostelut:
